Hello! I am excited about this exchange and so happy that you’ll be writing for me. Just in case you need it, this is blanket permission to go wherever your muse takes you!

I am excited for this exchange because there are so many heterosexual relationships that I would love more if they were both women and kept the same dynamics they had in canon.

My general likes and DNWs are in my sign up on AO3, so I’ll only repeat them at the very end. In the meantime, this is what I like about all the fandoms and ships I’m requesting.

Top Gun

f!Maverick/f!Iceman

I re-watched this from beginning to end recently and did you know this movie is naturally gay? There is serious chemistry between Maverick and Iceman. If they were both women, I would ship them so hard. I’d love to see their dynamic taken one step further in a fic.

f!Maverick/Charlie

One thing that strikes me is how much Charlie really wants Maverick as a lover. She was totally into him as he sang to her and then met again in the bathroom, but it was the 80s so she couldn’t say yes. Well, what if she could say yes to f!Maverick? What if Charlie was allowed to embrace her sexuality as fully and completely as she wanted?

The Expanse

Drummer & f!Klaes

These two have such a wonderful dynamic. As much as I loved them when they were at odds, I love them better when they grow past that to be tighter than (if you’ll forgive the vulgarity) Avasarala’s asshole. I would love to see these two pretend to be at each other’s throats but have that be a ruse all along. Maybe a way to steal some more supplies from an Inner ship? Or a way to catch a pirate preying on the colonists?

f!Holden/Naomi

These guys are such a power couple. I’m love them. If Holden were a woman, would Naomi still fall for her? I don’t have a lot of thoughts on these to, so go hog wild if you want to write them.

f!Holden/Monica

A little part of me wanted Holden to take Monica up on her offer for sex. m!Holden didn’t, but would f!Holden? My interest in this pairing is entirely in smut.

Beauty and the Beast

f!Beast/Belle

Hear me out: so queerness is considered a monstrosity, and the Beast is someone’s inner monster personified. So what if (you still with me?) that monstrosity is not from inside her, but was forced upon her by the nearby village?

What if the entirety of Beauty and the Beast but a queer narrative? Not just for f!Beast, but for Belle as well. She doesn’t feel in place with the heterosexual agenda, and the one other queer person is the mosnter in the castle. Only the monster isn’t really monstrous, she just made a single bad decision (casting out an old woman) and has been paying for it ever since.

Greek Religion & Lore

f!Hades/Persephone

I once read a novel with this pairing, genderbent and everything. Only it was a dark romance with some major noncon elements that squicked me out. (this is the book, btw.)

I love the Hades and Persephone myth. I’d love to see your spin on it if they were lesbians.

Gundam SEED

f!Athrun & f!Kira

Do you know what the Gundam franchise needs? More female protagonists. You know what I love about Gundam SEED? The friends-to-enemies dynamic between Kira and Athrun. You know what would be the greatest thing? Childhood girlfriends-to-enemies piloting giant robots on opposite sides of a war. I would love to see the first couple episodes genderswapped and recreated in fic. Or any other tense moment between these two genderswapped and recreated in fic. Feel free to add another element to for an added twist if that’s too boring by itself.

f!Kira/Lacus and f!Athrun/Cagalli

Don’t have a lot of thoughts about either of these couples, other than I would love to see their dynamic genderswapped and recreated in fic. These are the only two pairings where an AU would be great to read, but something happening in canon would be great too!

General things I love: complicated relationships, enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, asexual versions of characters finding love, grumpy/sunshine, pining/mutual pining, arranged marriage, fake relationships, happy endings, sexless physical intimacy, adult characters adopting lost/orphaned younger characters, angst with a happy ending, angst/whump, hurt/comfort, ostracized characters finding a family, strong and independent characters being vulnerable/taken care of,

I am normally a lover of AUs of all sorts, but for this exchange I would like works that stick to canon or diverge from it a little bit. I chose these characters to be genderswapped because I love their attitudes; I think they would be cooler as characters if they were women.

That being said, the definition of “woman” is fluid. I love both cis or trans interpretations of Rule 63 for everyone in my sign up.

Smut and kinky smut are great! If you want to write a couple thousand words of sex, I like feelings/emotions, someone learning something new about themselves, and/or someone learning that trusting someone can be good actually. I am cool with dubcon, A/B/O dynamics, sex pests, bondage, and kinks not listed in my DNWs. Otherwise, I don’t really have strong smutty/kink preferences so please pay attention to my DNWs.

DNWs: noncon/rape, sexual violence/sexual assault (references to rape/sexual violence are fine; I just don’t want to read any depiction of it), scat, pisskink, other waterworks, knifeplay that draws blood, doing something extremely graphic for shock value, underage characters having on-page sex, incest, major character death, infidelity/cheating (polyamorous characters are great tho!), mpreg, fatphobia, ace-phobia, celebrity AUs, time travel/funky time shenanigans
